Rajasthan, the state known for having a desert consisting of dull monotoned color sand is colorful only because of what its people wear. The bright colors make up for the absence of blooming flowers in the state. Interesting costumes and jewellery are not just mere ornaments for these desert people. My First Post

Dear Friends This is my first blog post. I hope you all will enjoy reading my posts. My blog is all about local handlooms , various garments and clothing lines produced in India. The traditional handlooms are beautiful crafted by  women entrepreneurs which showcase the rich diversity of our country.  Tourists from all over the world who come to India appreciate the work of local designers. But sadly most Indians are unaware of it. So  we need to spread the word about their skills so that they can be financially benefitted. It will also help create awareness among the consumers that local handlooms can be fashionable, which in turn can encourage many entrepreneurs to pursue their work and many rich investors to invest in this field. The prominent fashion designers and Bollywood actors of our country should take the onus to present our local talent in international fashion shows.
